Projet « Expérimentation de la navigation en ville à l’aide d’une application web par des utilisateurs de fauteuil roulant manuel »

À l’été 2019 et à l’automne 2020, le questionnaire « Évaluation de la satisfaction envers une technologie géospatiale d’assistance » a été pré-testé dans le cartier Saint-Roch avec quelques usagers de fauteuils roulants manuels.

Vos tâches consisteraient à :

Planifier un trajet à l’aide de HereWeGo® – Navigation en ville, soit un trajet d’environ 10 minutes pour se rendre à un commerce de votre choix et en utilisant votre propre téléphone avec données mobiles depuis votre domicile; 20 minutes.

Naviguer avec votre aide à la mobilité du point A au point B, avec votre téléphone ouvert en utilisant l’application HereWeGo en mode navigation positionné sur votre choix de support pour le main libre (en fauteuil roulant manuel ou motorisé). NB vous serez filmé pendant la navigation du point A à B.  NB Le personnel de recherche veillera à votre sécurité s’il y a des obstacles en cours de route. 20-40 minutes

Compléter 3 questionnaires, le premier pour indiquer votre degré de satisfaction de 1 à 5, pour 12 items inclus dans « Évaluation de la satisfaction envers une technologie géospatiale d’assistance ». Le deuxième, si vous êtes bilingue uniquement, comprend les mêmes items mais en anglais. Le troisième est un questionnaire sur l’usabilité d’un système informatisé, où on vous demande votre degré d’accord pour 19 items. Le personnel de recherche demeurera à votre porte le temps que vous complétiez les questionnaires. 20 minutes

We would like to invite you to test an application with your smartphone and to fill up the new survey of satisfaction. The project will take place from your home. This mobility application’s test lasts between one hour and one hour and twenty and a compensation of 50$ will be delivered following your signature of consent. We will show you how download the “Here WeGo” application on your device. The master’s student will not enter in your home, to respect the sanitary conditions of COVID.

Your participation would consist to:

Plan a trip with «Here we go»– Downtown navigation, a trip about 10 minutes to go on a store by using your own smartphone with mobiles data 20 minutes

Navigate with your mobility aid from point A to point B, with your phone and the application Here WeGo open. Your device will be positioned according to your choice for the Hands Free (for manual or electric wheelchair). NB you will be filmed during navigation from point A to B by the research assistant. NB the research assistant will ensure your security if obstacles occurs along the way. 20– 40 minutes

Complete 3 surveys, first one to indicate your level of satisfaction from 1 to 5, for 12 items included in «Evaluation of satisfaction with a geospatial assistive technology». Second one if you are bilingual only, same items but in French. And the last one it’s a survey about the usability of a computerized system, where you are asked for your degree of agreement for 20 items. The research assistant will stay at your door while your answer the questionnaires. 20 minutes
